Renée Blacken (fiddle) and David Van Houten (guitar/cittern.)\n\nWe’ll have a 30 minute break for a potluck supper\, so bring something to share if you’re able. Plan to bring clean\, soft-soled shoes to change into once you arrive.\n\nAdmission is by donation\, with suggested amounts of $15 per adult for regular admission and $20 per adult for admission as a supporting patron.\n\nSt. Andrew’s church is located at 1265 Main Street (between the Armory and the Colonial Arms apartments).

DESCRIPTION:Join us for a Burlington Balfolk party! This participatory dance form is fun and easy to learn\, especially with friendly instruction and hypnotic live music. All dances are taught by local dance leader Mary Wesley; no partner or prior experience needed. \n“Balfolk” refers to the recent revival of popular social dances from Western Europe\, with an emphasis on traditional “folk” dances from France. Bourrées\, an dros\, gavottes\, mazurkas\, waltzes\, scottishes — a mix of partner dances\, group dances\, entrancing chain dances. \nHailing from Vermont and Québec\, our band\, Triton\, offers music rooted in the traditional dance repertoire of Northwestern Europe\, moving body and soul alike. \nCurious about balfolk?
